Marketing to Facebook can be a complicated beast, with pixels & target demographics & much more. However, one thing that has been made much easier for me over the last 6 months has been the creation of the custom audiences I can promote advertisements to on the Facebook Network.
What’s a Custom Audience?
A Custom Audience from a customer list is a type of audience you can create made up of your existing customers. You can target ads to the audience you’ve created on Facebook, Instagram, and the Audience Network. To create these you need to upload, copy and paste or import your customer list. This data is then matched by Facebook and grouped together into an audience of people that your can market to on Facebook.
Whats the problem?
While this is an incredibly powerful marketing tool, the very fact that you have to manually upload email or customer lists, means that they eventually become out of date, rendering your marketing less than effective.
Is there a solution?
For the last 6 month’s I’ve been using an automated syncing service called ‘SyncSumo’, which lets me set and forget my custom audiences. This means that as my customer or contact lists change, these changes are reflected within the hour inside of Facebook. EPIC.
How does it work?
So how could you use this in your marketing?
